You and me both, Helen. She is driving me nuts and as you say, it is very disrespectful to these two. I mean if the schedule were reversed we wouldn't be getting vignettes about these two in the end changes would we?
Meanwhile, Vamos Roberto!!!

Yes. What a fighter, and that last game was a cracker! As was the whole second set. But you have to hand it to Jokkers, with a partisan crowd he just blotted it out and did his job.

Love the way Boris, John and Tim are standing on court, standing to attention as if in the head teacher's study!

Can't understand why the crowd don't much care for Djokovic - I find him quite personable and enjoy watching his style of play. Really enjoyed the match between him and Agut - those long rallies. Goodness me. And some great tennis and shots. Not a great fan of Nadal, I'm afraid, too many obsessions/superstitions ..... ears-nose-ears-pants-bottles. Perhaps Sue Barker can calm down now they're both about to play. Sadly not. But at least McEnroe has gone off to work for an American network ..... we have Henman and Becker. Was hoping we wouldn't get Castle as we may even get a decent commentary now without being told who's in the royal box, how much they're both worth, blah, blah. EDIT : My mistake. Castle's snuck in there.

I'm afraid so! But I do like Boris, and Tim is a rather good commentator I think. I have no idea what they're talking about when they get technical, but it's a lot better than prize money!
I didn't like Djokovic much in his early days at Wimbledon but he has matured, particularly since becoming a father, and I do like hearing him speak. He's always respectful to other players and it must frustrate him that as you say, the crowd don't on the whole love him. But if it makes him think 'I'll show them' then good for him!

Yes, I like them both - as a team they are complementary as commentators.
Funny how we like Roger Federer - not everyone, obviously, as Nadal has his followers, but I do like RF. The only time I didn't was when he came out at Wimbledon wearing gold braid around his white blazer and gold on his shoes. He could, of course, have been being ironic but it left a unpleasant taste.
I do like his game though. So elegant, so refined.

I have been a big fan of RF since he beat Sampras (never liked him) all those years ago. One blessing this year...No Mark Petchey

Indeed! But what a match. Can't say the same for Sue Barker whose sycophancy got right up my nose.
Looking forward to a cracker of a final which I think Jokkers will win. You heard it here first! (Well, not really.)

Think it'll be an excellent match on Sunday. Don't mind who wins, tbh, just looking forward to some good tennis. Had a last minute "please can we come - we need time in the country air" from half of our family but they've been warned that Sunday is a "Do Not Disturb" day. Well, the afternoon anyway. For some reason I am laughing at my own post. Must have pressed the wrong button as I intended pressing the Edit icon. Sorry about that. Bit of a twerp moment. If the mods could remove that I'd be grateful.

There's been a bit of a brou-ha over Meghan Markle having photos taken of her while supposedly on a private visit to see Serena Williams play during last week. Her protection officer asked people to put their phones away. I wonder what she'll do today when in the royal box with the Duchess of Cambridge?
Suppose it depends on whether she considers it a private or public occasion.

Kate was slumming it with the hoi polloi one day last week and didn't seem to mind TV cameras on her. No idea if anyone in the crowd was taking photos, but if you're sitting in the crowd, you're not in a private place. Where was Meghan when this occurred?

She was in the VIP area of Court 1. In fact the four or so of them occupied the whole of the VIP area, leaving nearly 40 seats empty like an exclusion zone. I dont know whose bright idea that was, but it looked ridiculous. Apparently VIPs were held outside! After the photo ban hooha, there was a statement saying that Meghan wants to interact with people not their phones. Well she could have interacted with 40 more if they had been let in. I dont think the Sussexes have very good PR people. Still she will only get one seat in the Royal Box if she comes today as they announced.
