But it seemed a bit out of the blue, to me. There was barely a mention that he even knew the wife. I did think he had a slight obssession about the daughter but not really the husband. And he just happened to have a cellar and a load of lime just when he needed it most. I hate when there's no clues until a minute before the reveal. It's bad plotting.

It did seem a bit left field to me. Up until then we hadnt really seen how obsessed he was with his friend, just the daughter. It wasnt clear to me whether he was obsessed with the daughter in a paedophile way or because she was the offspring of his idol and therefore equally worthy of his obsessive feelings. Quite what everyone saw in the husband also puzzled me.
Yet again, loads of women with similar hair! I completely mistook one for another and had to rewind the recording at one point, lol.
So the mother has left, and the brother is pissed off with Valeria. Now, assuming there isn't some deep dark secret and taking it all at face value (which I realise is risky!), I dont quite see why Valeria should be told how to feel towards her mother. And if she doesn't want to live with her mother, why should she?

Just ten minutes into the latest, but I notice that the forensic procedures seem very lax in Turin! The police tramp through the crime scene every week and perhaps Valeria might wear gloves but that's it! Not exactly CSI standards.
When the young woman climbed over the wall and got back to her room, she switched the light on and I thought at last a woman with highlights, I should be able to distinguish her. Next thing, she has put on a habit and wimple so the hair is no longer visible.Shes a nun!! As was the dead woman who I think is someone else! So nuns get up to quite a lot in Turin it seems!

Half way through this and it is enjoyable. That novice certainly has a double life.
Usual glut of brunette women but at least one has been bumped off which makes it a little easier. Pretty sure Valeria WAS wearing gloves at the crime scene?
The scenery is stunning.

They never have crime scene tape or those white suits or shoe covers though. Even a Midsomer village runs to those!

I enjoyed this full length story the best out of those we have seen. The way the Nuns appeared at the convent windows when the detective and her partner first arrived! Every time they looked up there were more nuns.
The story was good and the characters are more familiar now - even if the women tend to all look the same.

It was a good one, though once again the perp came a bit out of the blue I thought. I have the same problem distinguishing between the women.

Just watched the latest one and although the murder case was quite solve-able, it was well written and acted.
But what is building, chillingly, is the show down between mother (who looks like Isabella Rosselini when she ties her hair back) and her police officer daughter and whatever happened in their joint past. Monica, the weirdo cell mate, has now re-joined the mothers life and shows no signs of agreeing to leave and the ending of the latest episode was especially shocking....
I will say no more for those who have not watched it but it is worth sticking with.

I don't remember a shocking ending. I'll have to rewatch it.

Ive just watched last night's which I thought was excellent. Trouble is all the honour killing/subjugation of women talk has got my blood up and I now have a headache! But finally an episode where I could distinguish all the females.

It was interesting as to who actually wielded the knife - and the involvement of the brother.

I thought this was a good episode, and the series generally is getting better with Valeria's personal and family life just as intriguing as the case each week.

Good final episode - even if Mad Monica has now joined the Brunette Women We Cannot Tell Apart club.
Plus the fathers of the victims - one worryingly like Bob Fosse, the other a low budget Kevin Spacey.
I hope more episodes are purchased by E4.
