Another good episode even if we did have another outbreak of Brunette Women (or teenagers).
The Uncle has appeared in several episodes - he had a lot to do with the upbringing of the siblings after the father was killed and the Mother jailed.
Does the Uncle know who Mum took the blame for?
Great series though, really enjoying it now.

Ah yes, now I remember Valeria being raised by her uncle has been mentioned a couple of times. Still don't remember seeing him - oh well, must pay more attention!

It's the thin grey haired bloke that works in a cafe, G-Man.

Another good episode last week. The ending was touching too.

It was excellent. And a refreshing lack of women with long brown hair, it being about gay men. I notice they managed to cast men who looked different from each other.

I wish la mama would answer the bloody phone properly so we get to know who this woman Tiziana is and what she has to contribute!
I see the side plait is making a comeback in Turin!
I love this series. I wonder if there is/will be a season 3.

Me too. It's difficult to work out what's in which season from imdb. According to this we've just been watching season 1 episode 10: tvslive.club/series/300723/1/10- and loads more episodes after that have been made.

Another enjoyable episode this week (the violinist one - I am behind with my viewing). Have to say the policeman who was to watch the killer at the hospital didn't do the best job...the accused was wandering the corridors moments later.
I always mean to check the credits to see if they are based on existing crime novels?
Well done More4 for buying this. Its a gem.

Credits are in Italian - but as far as I can see, no. Created by Claudio Corbucci as an original TV series.

Thanks geometryman. The settings are lovely with the Italian sky lines and the characters have really settled in.

Well. Who is this secret family then? Is la mama part of a Mafia clan??
We all knew that blood stain wouldn't be a match! But does it mean someone else was there or that the dead man wasnt Valeria's biological father?
Now I may seem uncharitable but I was infuriated by Enrico! Disappear without a word for ten years and then assume you can come back home just like that? I'd have told him to f*** off! I dont know what his mental health was like but for at least three months he was functioning. And he knew enough to plant the ring.
Last one next week!! Oh no! I wonder if all will be explained. We have seen 12 films of 2 episodes each, and I see on IMDB there were 36 episodes so you never know! We may get another 6 films.... Plus the CCTV this week was dated 2015 which was when the series started and it is shown as running to 2018.

My immediate conclusion was that the dead man wasn't Valeria's biological father. But then, on reflection, why did Valeria's mother - when fresh out of jail - burn that blood stained clothing? No point if it was just the dead man's, so it looks like that was the same non-matching blood & she's protecting someone unrelated to Valeria.

Or, on further reflection - if the dead man wasn't her biological father, someone related to Valeria on her mother's side.

Excellent episode - a good story about the brothers and of course Mama's secret life.
Previous husband/family? Organised crime?
The DNA test presumably clears Valeria's brother of any involvement - they must share DNA from their mother - so who on earth was also at the lovely lake house? Mama is covering up to protect someone, I'm sure.
I did think it was a mistake to visit the hospital when her own mother was not in a room on her own. The other occupant doubtless heard her addressing her as "Mama".
Lot of brunettes again, but it is a cracking series.

Marvellous as usual, even if I did have to start again after the first 12 minutes to try and work out the family relationships! An interesting development on la mama's side of things, but still not completely resolved. There MUST be more episodes to show. Come on Walter, don't let us down. I have found this an absolutely engrossing series, loved it. Also, how it was left, how does that tie up with Mad Monica's story that la mama didn't do it? And Andrea, stop sulking like an adolescent. She doesn't fancy you, get over it. Just a thought out in a spoiler in case someone hasn't seen it yet, {SPOILER:Click to Show}I assume that Valeria's real father then is la mama's brother or a cousin perhaps since he appears to come from Maria Grazia's family who were visiting Turin. And I assume it was consensual sex, not rape
