BBC Scotland’s drama series Guilt will premiere on BBC Two on Wednesday October 30th at 9pm.
Guilt follows two disparate brothers Max and Jake who, while driving home from a wedding together one night, accidentally run over and kill an old man on a darkened street.
After making the panicked decision to cover their tracks, the brothers seem to get away with their crime. However, as neighbours and relatives of the dead man begin to suspect his death wasn’t as innocent as it initially seemed, the brothers find their lives rapidly falling apart, as their actions begin to catch up with them.
Their increasingly desperate attempts to conceal their guilt lead them further into a world where everyone seems to have a hidden agenda and they discover they can trust no-one, ultimately including each other.
The drama series, which was created by Neil Forsyth, stars Mark Bonnar, Jamie Sives, Emun Elliot, Bill Paterson, Ellie Haddington, Ruth Bradley, Sian Brooke and Michael Nardone.

I do too. Cracking cast, especially Mark Bonnar.

I have seen this! I thought it sounded familiar. I watched it on BBC Scotland. Didn't like it.

I normally love Mark Bonnar, and would watch anything he is in, but at the moment this seems too bleak and depressing and I’m not in the mood.

That's why I didn't like it.

The idea is interesting, so I might give it a try.

Sounds a bit like the plot of "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

I've seen the trailers and had already decided to watch just because Mark Bonner is in it. Whether I will continue watching remains to be seen but I will certainly give it a try.

Sounds a bit like the plot of "I Know What You Did Last Summer." It does but it's nothing like that. Although I only watched the first one. Way too grim.

It sounds very familiar, but I have never seen BBC Scotland. They don't try and dig a hole to bury the car in do they? Are there two families, living close to each other, sort of connected?

Yep, that's the one. It may have been on Netflix if you have that. Cos when I read the plot I thought 'oh, I remember that' and had Netflix in mind. But then thought it must have been BBC Scotland as why would the BBC give first showing to them.

I just checked and the one I was thinking of on Netflix is One of Us. Similar plot but different cast. Starred Juliet Stevenson, Adrian Edmondson and Julie Graham. That's the one with the feuding families where they buried the car.
So I haven't seen Guilt.

I watch these things now and again but at the moment I think there are too many competing crime/thriller dramas on and I have to make the decision to let several slip by and stick with one. I can't do that amount of grim darkness, aggression and violence every night. Sometimes I just need to watch someone walking through the dales, having a scone and jam and meeting friendly people - oh and better if they have a dog with them!
I am enjoying The Capture and liking the complexity but hope they don't go to bits at the end as often these dramas do when they try to tie everything up or worse leave them slightly open just in case there is The Second Capture and so on.

They don't try and dig a hole to bury the car in do they? That would be a sizable hole!
