Thanks for mentioning this cuddles. My dad is a big fan of the series so I've been able to give him the heads up that it's back this evening.

It's back so soon Loved it as ever....but Tim taking charge of that 1.5million square rigger Did like the thunder effect in the theatre - and Pru going down memory lane, is another great tonic for her.

Great to see this back. They seem to make the programmes without not much time between series (not complaining mind) All those lines Tim had to learn. It must upset Pru in a way they she can no longer do that like she used to. Nice to see the only casualty so far was just a collision with trees and Pru's hat taking off. I expect next episode Tim will hit a boat!!

LOL!! - Another interesting episode. My heart was in my mouth when they tried to retrieve her hat, though

Loch's, Locks ......and Gold Stars and I'm sure Tim didn't bump into anything last night, but those Loch's and Locks, are bigger than normal - weather perfect too, even the mist.

I watched this last night. Charming as ever though I was amused to hear Tim referring to the Caledonian Canal as the most remote they've ever sailed on. It must be one of the busiest, with commercial as well as leisure traffic, and only a few stretches are far from habitation.
The lock-keeper's cottages at Kytra, where they met the lady lock-keeper, are now holiday cottages. I've stayed there and they are delightful. While we were there the Lord of the Glens, the ocean-going vessel that regularly cruises along the canal, went through the lock. It completely filled the lock with only inches to spare all around, and we were told that when they took on that route it had to be cut down to size to fit into the locks. It does make you realise how intimidating the locks will be to small boats.

Lovely programme as usual. I never realised how huge Loch Ness was.

Tobermory...what a name, I love that place. Great end to the series....Crinan Canal still looks stunning [Penelope Keith was there the other week] - And Tim didn't bump into anything again!, but he wasn't in charge of most of the boats they were on .....and how much did Pru drink at the distillery.

Yes, sore heads for both of them next morning I should think, given that they appeared to be actually drinking all the samples and not sipping, swilling and spitting. I don't blame them, I'd have done the same if I'd been there!

Another wonderful, gentle 'waterway' journey from Prue and Tim...Wonder where Prue's hat was.

Yes, she seemed to have a new one instead of her favourite. Lovely boat this time, I could go on that myself with very little persuasion!
Interesting to hear about the history of The Broads, I've never been.

It was interesting.
I've had one holiday on the Broads, but over 50 years ago. It was a bit crowded (in August), with finding a place to moor sometimes being a problem at popular places. Also pollution was quite an issue then, hopefully that's been addressed nowadays.
