Les Dawson's Parisienne Adventure. An enjoyable thirty minutes. Mark Addy portrayed the older Les, with John Bradley becoming the younger version. Steve Pemberton made an appearance as well.
Next week Joan Rivers (Katherine Ryan) meets Barbra Streisand (Jessica Bardin) in 1959, when they acted together on an off Broadway play..... I'm not a fan of Katherine Ryan, but will watch to see what she makes of the part. Never heard of Jessica Bardin.

Ditto. My favourite episodes have been Cary Grant and Timothy Leary, Backstage at Live Aid, Agatha Christie and Princess Diana and Freddie Mercury. I enjoy these, quite strange but enjoyable.

Funny Girl.
A recording of Sheridan Smith starring in Funny Girl in Manchester (2017) airs on Sunday 11/10 at 6.30-9.00.
Great! We couldn’t get affordable tickets when this was on in the West End.

Another thirty minute gem in the Urban Myths series. Katherine Ryan portrayed Joan Rivers very well, and the actress who played Barbra had her singing down to a T. Next week it's Hendrix and Handel. Starring Zach Wyatt and David Haigh. Jimi Hendrix sees the ghost of George Frederic Handel.... Looking forward to it.

Boswell and Johnson's Scottish Road Trip Tuesday (6th) at 9pm. Frank Skinner and novelist Denise Mina retrace Boswell and Johnson's 1773 journey. Apparently Frank is a bit of an expert of Dr. Johnson, so this could be interesting. Will be watching. Another interesting trip North of the Border.Frank and Denise visited Culloden, and Fort George. Fascinating histories attached to both places. Frank and Denise seem to have a great chemistry between them and it's a joy to behold. They also rode to Loch Ness on horseback, or rather Highland pony back. Looking forward to next weeks offering.

Managed to see PAotY as I'm at my Mom's! Agreed with the winner this week. That was a great portrait. Although I was worried she wouldn't have time to enliven the eyes!

Last one of a delightful series. The Hebrides was the final destination of Frank and Denise. First stop Tobermoray, Today, the waterfront looks lovely with brightly painted houses, in Johnson's time very bleak indeed. They also visited the island of Staffa, where a cave was renamed Fingal's Cave after the legendary hero. Finally to Iona to see the 8th century cathedral, now sadly in ruins, though parts of the vaulted ceiling remain. Frank and Denise make a great presenting team. I'd like to see them doing another documentary together.

Hamilton, One shot to Broadway. Sunday 25 October, 10.00-11.30.
No details in the RT other than “the creation of the hit musical”. Still it may show a fair amount of the show. Or just be an extended advert!
