Rise of the Superheroes, was very interesting. I learnt a lot from this show. I didn't know that Marvel almost went bankrupt in the 90's, or the first attempt at The Punisher and Fantastic Four were so bad they were never shown. I love the Blade series, (anything with Wesley Snipes). CGI has helped a lot in making these movies Boxoffice hits. Love the Matrix, it doesn't get shown often though. I suppose the fact that adults are buying these comics now, helps.

Its all relative I suppose.
But for me, its old school, pre-CGI, cheesy, camp when it comes to super heroes.
Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman & Robin, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, Bill Bixby/Lou Ferigno as the Hulk.
But obviously from the fact that major comic book companies almost went out of business, the largest demographic of modern super hero fans like all the 21st century studio wizardry.

If I’ve read the RT properly a concert from the Shadows Final Tour is on tonight (Saturday) from 9.00 pm I hope this is the channel accessible on Freeview, because I could do with 3 hours of watching Hank Marvin and the rest

Yes, it is channel 11. You may have to retune if you haven’t already as it used to be the number for Pick.

You won't be disappointed. Hank never seems to age. Maybe it's the glasses.

I was not disappointed with Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Certainly a taste of yesteryear, each half hour 'playlets' as Mr Hitchcock calls them, are well written and acted. Gene Barry, John Forsythe and Cloris Leachman are some of the well known actors taking part. There's a 'twist in the tail' endings, too. I'm enjoying them.

Catherine the Great - I wondered whether to watch this as a comparison with the outrageous (and quite amusing) 'The Great' on C4, but there's a lot of negative user reviews on imdb, so I probably won't.
