I think the penalties should either be
1. taken by the managers 2. taken by the Mascots
or the result should be determined by a dance off.

Ok. Maybe no penalties then. Honestly, Italy are so bloody mercurial!

I switched off after the second goal.
Italy played well in extra time, but Austria were better in the first 90 minutes.

If Italy had played that well in the first 90 mins we wouldn't have had the extra 30. But there you go. Oh there was some extra excitement. It ended 2-1

The skill from Denmark was excellent. The home nations do seem to be lacking - too many foreign players in our leagues perhaps? We need more home grown talent. Austria are holding Italy to a no score draw in the first half. Got a feeling that Germany are going to do a Denmark on England. Maybe not 4-0 though.

Watched the match in our local bar - very pleased that our new home team won! It will be different on Tuesday - will be watching the England match at home - will put it on the laptop and watch in the privacy of our house. I love the England team but hate watching them so at least I can run inside if things aren't going well...

It was a good match, better than some I have sat through.

Watching some of these games you get the impression that the supposedly good teams go at half pace until the last 20 minutes.
Then I suppose that's how they get through.
Nobody's shining yet, there's not a team or a player that's stood out so far. In some ways it's been a more balanced competition with nobody dominating and some very lucky wins.
Just think in times past all those VAR turned down goals would have been given, half the offsides would have been missed, the penalties would have been controversial and nobody would have got a yellow card for pretending they were fouled, mind you perhaps it makes for a less passionate game and not even a hint of handbags.

England have an appalling record in this tournament and this group of players are no better or worse than previous England squads I fear. Technique wise and organisational wise I sadly think we will struggle against Germany.😕

On the other hand we could beat them 5 -1 as we've done in the past.
Absolutely nobody is taking this tournament by storm.
If we don't, all I can say is we'll done for giving it a go after the longest hardest season ever.

Reckon Scottish fans will be hoping for a Croatia/Czech Republic final.

Some big lads in that Czech side.

Well done Czech Republic. I decided to support them for this game after Dutch fans were so disparaging on the radio. I know fans can be cocky, but to say the Czechs were one of the worst teams in the tournament was just rude.
Well they're two goals better than you now.
TBH the Dutch have struggled with tournaments recently, which is surprising when they have such good players.

And there go the Dutch. Scotland can feel a bit better now seeing the Czech Republic playing so well.
