Anyway, Belgium looked pretty good in the 2nd half so at least they are starting to live up to the hype. I was surprised that CR beat the Dutch. They were looking good. My money is still on Denmark

As is France v Switzerland! In the second half France suddenly remembered what they were meant to be doing.

Not a shame if you don't win in 90 minutes plus extra time it's a lottery. In order to get to that point you're only playing as well as your opposition.

Well it's nail biting time now. It will be what it is. I'd be ok if my son hadn't texted 85 million times today with pics of England flags alternating with people crying. He's a flag of convenience and alternates between England and Northern Ireland and Ireland depending who's doing better.

Quite aging to realise that the missed penalty of Gareth Southgate was 25 years ago! His squad were mostly not born when it happened.
The game is on the BBC which often bodes well for England.

(Le Bro reports France in shock after yesterday. He only listened until it was 3-1 then went to bed, having been traveling back from Paris for much of the day. Switched on the TV this morning and could not believe they had lost.)

For the first time in my life, I've been watching 2 games at the same time. It's not easy! I thought 'Ok I've just got time to watch the French game before the England game comes on'. Uh huh. I'd avoided all mention of the game on all SM so had no idea what happened. And I love to watch Les Bleus play. You never know what's going to happen from one minute to the next! Moments of sheer beautiful genius and then times when you want to kick them up the arse to wake them up. Often within a few minutes! But that.... that was....  The bits I've seen of the England game, we looked better. But this is Germany so ..... |
