We were so spoilt last night with two excellent games and this seems plodding in comparison. It isn't it's just different styles.
I rarely watch the anthems and don't like the camera up the noses of the players trying to get a shot so they can have a dig if someone looks bored, looks down, isn't singing, is singing the wrong song, does what, what do they expect - a V sign, black panther salute. Even worse is when they put the mike on.
It's a kind of forced patriotism under the spotlight.
It's a distraction from what is about to start and I would absolutely hate it if it was me. I'm of the Roy Keane perspective to anthems, get someone to sing them or a band to play them, then bring the players out.
I'm having a right whinge today aren't I.

Italy have to beat Belgium first Miranda and how do we know we'll beat Ukraine or Sweden, it's not like we've walked it in the past.
Everyone's good in this tournament. There's still no stand out favourite.

Jack Grealish off the bench and we start scoring. I think that was a wise strategic play by Southgate. The Germans had the demeanour of a side perfectly happy to play out to penalties, knowingly or not, and putting Grealish on with 20 minutes to go ensured fresh quality legs for extra time…if a goal comes in the following 20 minutes so much the better. |

With all those injuries, will Ukraine have a team to put out against us? Fair play to them though! First time they've got past the 16.
