I've just noticed that every single QF is an away game for every team.

Of course the issue now is, England fans cannot travel from England to Rome without quarantining for five days and there are not five days until the next game.
In theory that should be the beginning and end of it. No England fans, that are not already in Italy (or elsewhere in Schengen?), travelling to Rome.
Don’t know about Ukraine.
But how will this all play out in reality.
Really hope I’m wrong but I still sense drunk idiots wrecking the Trevi.

According to my brother travel is ok throughout Europe for those who are vaccinated. Different if you want to come in from the UK or elsewhere.

Though I’ve since learned that ticket distribution for England support is now in the hands of the British embassy in Rome and they will first be prioritising tickets to English/British fans resident in Italy and then to any that can prove that they haven’t just arrived in Italy. Apparently this happened for Wales’ game in Rome and worked very well. There’s still the ticketless, aimless, and well oiled that find their way to Rome to consider. Maybe not so many.

There are lots of Italian's in this country with dual nationality and Italian passports. How will they know they've been there for less than 5 days if they arrive as Italians and stay with family?

Our Lugs will have to represent the entire UK on our behalf! Oh the responsibility! I will do my best - my England shirt is ready for the next game As a resident of Italy, I have been supporting my 'home' team - could get interesting if results end up with England v Italy - might have to take interchangeable shirts to the local bar where we watch

Ok, I have found the cats little England football and remembered that there is an inflatable hand somewhere with suitable cross of St George decorations. Meanwhile, there is an important match tonight - yet the media are focussing on Saturday's match rather than the upcoming one.

Penalties in the latest match (Spain/Switzerland) - never seen so many SAVED! Which is a sign of the keepers skill, which always tends to be over looked.

That goal just really made me laugh. Player curled up in a ball on the pitch in the opposition's box, acting like he's really badly hurt. And as soon as the ball was in the net, he was on his feet and running over to the others to celebrate!
