We watched in our local bar, Some good bits, some bad. Very relieved we got a goal, especially as I had an England T shirt on  The rights to the matches here were bought by Sky and the public service broadcaster can only show half so will be a bit hit and miss as to what we can see. (PS Bidie, I didn't go on a drunken spree, just a gentle wobble home) |

I enjoyed the Austria v Macedonia game. I don't think either will get out of their group but you never know.

We won and it went well but it should have been better - something I daresay the studio won't say. First game and 3 points so I shouldn't be grumbling and I'm not really, just a bit dull.
Raheem can rub it in by reminding the journos to put MBE after his name!

I think it was Raheem who was signed to one of the big clubs - at the age of 7. He got an unexpected debut in his teens when a fellow player fell ill - and his mother did not watch the match. In her defence she reminded him that he had said he was NOT going to be playing that day.
The Netherlands match is quite dull so far.
But then we have the glorious defeat of Scotland to look forward to tomorrow. Our only hope of progression is if all our opposing teams develop Covid and have to field teams made up of physios, tea ladies, programme sellers, kit staff etc.
And even then we would probably throw it away...
