Do they get to a point where everyone shares what they have found out? Yeah, I think the next episode, the duos have to present their cases to the detectives and the one with the weakest case has to leave the programme. For me, Richmond and Sarah probably have the strongest case on Hamish so far. The two boys are on the drug angle and have some evidence. The others seem to be blundering about in the dark at the moment.

What are everyoneโs opinions on the detective pairs? Iโm inclined towards Sarah and Richmond, but that maybe influenced by my fascination with Sarahโs curly eyelashes. I find the young women a bit annoying.

I agree with you. S + R work well together, as the detective pointed out. The two young women have no idea what they are doing! I think they will be the first out.

Well where are we now. I'm going to be bold and rule out Hamish and Jean, although maybe................... Sonia and Tony are just full of lies, first he said he didn't know her then he admits he knew her when she was a DJ in Glasgow, but Sonya still hasn't given us much about how she got to know her <Snip> Yeah, I think Jean can be ruled out. Hamish, not so much (yet!). Sonia and Charly had a conversation in the first episode, and Charly said 'What happens in Glasgow, stays in Glasgow.' When I watched it last week, I thought she'd said ' What happened...' and thus referring to something that happened the 5 or 6 years ago that the pair last (apparently) interacted. I've rewatched that scene again, and it's definitely present tense, so could indicate a recent encounter with Tony in Glasgow.

Dear god, how many adverts?! And I'm watching it on Catch up! Wish it was on a different channel. Thankfully, I'm able to record it, so I just fast-forward through them! ๐

Ok, this is how I see it. I'm leaning towards Hamish being the killer at the moment. He's drinking heavily, he's stalking Jean, she's frightened of him (no matter how much she denies it!) and Hamish sees V as an obstacle to getting his wife back. He was at the Manse when V came home crying in the dark. So the last thing he said to her was likely not to be whatever he said in the pub courtyard. Very possibly there was a row and he lost it and stabbed her. She tried to get help and staggered into the bedroom, doubled over in pain. Hamish ran for it. <Snip> I've just watched the night scene again, and it wasn't Charly returning to the Manse, it was Jean returning to her own home.

Oh! Was it? Well that's my theory screwed! I shall have to rewatch it.

<Snip> The other possible strand is the drugs. Obviously Freddy is trying to find the drugs that were washed overboard from a boat and using the young fella as eyes and ears. I think the 'cannabis plant' is a red herring. It looked more like a lupin to me! LOL! There's a definite connection between him, Sonia and Tony, and the victim from the Glasgow clubs. Tony is a terrible liar! I reckon Tony got set up in that pub on the island to be the liasion between Freddy and the drug runners. As for the money, I think Charley was supposed to get a termination and got the money from the father. Who is probably married and has children. We know there is a child involved somehow back home. I think Charley did a runner and went back to a place she knew as a child. And to her delight, found Tony there! Every crime novel is allowed one coincidence, them's the rules! I like these theories. ๐

The two women with the domineering friend don't seem to have come up with much, but we just might not have seen it yet. So they could go, because we know the TV Channel will want some entertaining people around.
Something is the red herring. Either it's the drugs that is secondary or Hamish is just drunk and losing it.
Certainly a lot more going on this week.

The Glasgow crime boss/business man had a conversation with Tony where they pretended they didn't recognise each other (is that right).
Then he told the two lads that he did know Tony.
Tony is up to something but I'm not sure it's murder.

I actually find the two older women more entertaining cos the smaller one is very bad at hiding her feelings when the domineering one is not looking at her. So her body language is fascinating in the face of her friends obliviousness.
