Yes, I was wondering if there's some judicious editing going on because the interviews are generally naff.
They don't seem to plan them much in advance, then they forget what they were going to ask.
When I had to give a witness statement it took over an hour and they kept checking things again.
I was very surprised that Jean has only had the briefest of interviews mostly while she's moving around in the shop or outside.
Anyway Logan is still in the frame, was he supplying her with drugs, or was he the one who tipped off Glasgie man that she was on the island. This business about him making a lot of money selling his land seems to have thrown them. Yet we knew the land was his and he was considering selling. Nobody has asked Ishbel anything much and yet if Logan sells what does that mean to her. Did she have concerns about what Logan was up to. She was near the murder scene.
This was a violent death, a knife. Everyone on that island would have access to a knife and I don't think we found the murder weapon, did we. If nothing was missing from the house they must have brought it.

The right people were eliminated this week (no real surprise that it was them! ). It's unlikely that that package of drugs was the only one in the shipment, so what's happened to the rest of it? Lost at sea, or has someone else claimed it? I've just watched some clips from Charly's murder again, and the murderer let themself into the house. So it's either someone with keys (Tony) or has access to those keys (Sonya), or the door wasn't locked in the first place (everybody else). Also, Charly said to the murderer, 'What are you doing in my house?' That's not something you'd say to your landlord, is it, as it's their house, so that could potentially eliminate Tony.

That made me wonder if it was Hamish, especially when she said 'You can't control this' or something along those lines. Although it could also apply to Tony if he was the muscle for Freddy. Although I'd be more scared of the latter, TBH.

I was thinking about Ishbel last night as well. No-one has gone back to check her story since her interview the first day. And we know she was out late. And Logan has told the teams that so she needs another doing, I reckon.

I also had a dream about it. Me and Agatha teamed up and she kept looking over my shoulder and telling me I was doing it wrong. Me - Well, you do it then! A - Oh no, I couldn't possibly get in your way. You just carry on. Me - If you're sure? A - Absolutely. You're in charge. Although.......... Me - <handing her the notepad and pen> A - Well, only if you insist.... Me - I insist. Oh boy, do I insist! A - Now then, where were we? Ah yes.... Serves me right for trying to solve it whilst I'm falling asleep!

Yeah, I believe Caroline and Chrissie will be following that up in the next episode as they seem to be the only team who've unearthed that nugget. I suspect there wasn't enough time to include the follow-up interview this week because TPTB thought an arrest was a more exciting way for the third act of the episode to pan out.

Ah, that makes sense. I would like to know more about Ishbel. And Alicia, TBH. Still on my list as the one who found the body. No explanation as to why she went all the way to the Manse. Other than a wishywashy wanting to check if C was alright. Which doesn't really wash seeing as they didn't like each other at all!

Beverley - did anyone ask Tony if there's any knives missing? It's easy enough to throw a knife in the sea and no-one would definitely know it missing if if wasn't one of a set.

None of the teams has asked to see Charly's diary yet, so it makes you wonder what vital evidence they've missed there.

No I don't think anyone specifically searched for knives.
They have been shown the diary buy I don't think they've had access to it yet. I don't think they've seen her phone either.
Forensics are back in the next episode. What's the bet, everyone's prints are all over the house! I'm sure they'll get a couple of leads, the real one and the red herring.
So far the only person that doesn't need to be there (in the series) is Logan. He looked proper shifty in his mam's kitchen when she was being interviewed. Then he finds a boat, but nobody asks what he's doing on a private beach.

Ah! Will be interested to see the forensics from the house. And at least it's taken a realistic amount of time rather than the 2 minutes it takes in CSI! LOL!

Watching Caroline and Chris talking to the PF. They are still taking a lot of what they have been told as gospel. Check, ladies!

Watching Tony's arrest interview and one bit has really annoyed me. He's not a bad guy just because he's 'no comment'. That's his solicitor's advice. And every smart solicitor will do that until they know what the police have on their client.

What Tony said when released was 'I think they believed me'. Which is a tad ambiguous!

They should have pushed Sonja more in the interview. Which beach did the child find the cocaine on? Was it the beach the boat washed up on? Were they just walking along the beach or with friends, in which case why did they not just take it home to their parents? Did Sonja take them to the beach? Why didn't she tell the head teacher and get the police to come and get it? Why take it home?
They should have probed much more. As a teacher she was in the perfect position to drop the cocaine and wait for one of the children to find it.
Then they could have gone back to her husband and said 'Sonja told us this, it's not looking good for her, taking cocaine into school and not alerting the authorities is going to be a disciplinary offence and so on.
They fudged it completely. Surely Tony would want to protect her.
Also are we expecting another body. Somebody must have been sailing that boat. There were no oars or an outboard motor, so where did they go. Have they washed up somewhere.
We still have to hear more from Ishbel and Alyssa. She's almost been forgotten and yet her excuse for being at the house was flimsy at best.
Are we thinking two crimes at this point, or is everything still interconnected, because the drugs may have nothing to do with the murder.
