The back garden is in a lane between 2 rows of houses. I think it's a lovely, characterful house. I also love the tower, which is a folly.

Agree, it's a lovely house. I'd just need to redecorate!

The tower? Where's that?
The house is at the end of the lane so it's a dead end beyond their house. I would imagine that parking a vehicle there wouldn't go down well with the neighbours and would stand a good chance of being blocked in!
I love the brick red kitchen. Not so keen on the contrasting green cupboard doors though – I'd have one or the other. I've always wanted a red wall and went so far as to try out different samples and buy a pot. But then I couldn't bring myself to put it on the wall! It's in a cupboard. One day ... So my kitchen is a bland cream.
BTW the house was sold sometime between series 2 and 3. Irritatingly, the estate agent's website doesn't have any internal photos.

Ooh! Thank you. All that red has gone ... four bedrooms, my word. No photos of the cellar, perhaps it's still used only for storage.
Thanks also for info about Wainhouse Tower, which I hadn't heard of.
I did find Nevison's house! Peel House in Luddenden, constructed in 1598. Listed up to the eyeballs so I'd guess the interiors are done in a studio.

That’s a brilliant kitchen (have been looking, but sadly Yorkshire is a step too far for us down here in Kent)!

I'm glad I'm not the only nosy one here I love looking into where my favourite things were filmed. Sorry for my short messages above, I was typing them while stuck on the phone to x-ray department waiting for them to answer, but I couldn't stop myself from checking out the latest on this thread.

I prefer the kitchen how it was!

A couple of final thoughts and then I'm outa here!
The green and red decor also appeared in Nevison's office in the first series - there were quite a few scenes there because of the involvement of his accountant Kevin. And it was in the original police station too. I wonder which inspired which!
The flowers painted on the kitchen cupboard doors disappeared between series 1 and 2 - they were painted over so the place had had a lick of paint between series.
Ros, Richard's wife, seemed perfectly nice in the first series. She didn't appear in the second at all, neither of them did - I wonder what happened to turn her into the unhappy woman who drank too much, if she did, in the intervening 7 years? If she found out Richard was still sleeping with Catherine, that wouldn't help! Though there was no evidence of that either in the third series.
You can tell I've had time on my hands! I'll stop now.
