I wondered about watching this on iPlayer, but don’t think I’ll bother. I too find him quite irritating. An hour saved!

As I said he could have found his royal connections with a quick wiki search. The rest was just padding. So his cold and stern grandfather had a heavy war. Could also be googled as he was well connected enough to have lots written about him.
I always love the 'Well now I understand why he was so cold towards us' comments. It's never 'well he would have got divorced if he'd had the money because he couldn't stand grandma', or 'I guess he just didn't want to be around children', or more prosaicly 'good soldier, lousy father'.

I am not going to watch the last two episodes. Who is next?

Kevin Clifton is next. I must be in a minority but I enjoyed the episode. Fascinating history

That one should be interesting. His parents were professional dancers as well. I wonder how far it goes back in the family.

I was absolutely enthralled by Kevin's family history, one of the best ones ever I think. I do like it when they show lots and lots of original records. I always liked him as a person on Strictly and seeing him in a different setting and context has only reinforced my opinion. An amazing story.

I plan to catch this on iPlayer later. I am hoping Kevin will really engage with the experts. I like it when that happens rather than keeping their distance. He always seems a very friendly guy so here’s hoping.

Fascinating and so many more questions you wanted answering. I wonder if he looks into more of it. A really good one and they kept it under wraps too.

I really enjoyed it as well. Very interesting. And the historians seemed to like Kevin and respond to his feelings.

I fell asleep halfway through! Sounds from the comments that I ought to give it another go…
