I’ve just done my Miss Marple bit again and located some coverage on the BBC red button, Freeview 601. It looks to me as if they will just be showing the finals but anything is welcome. Thursday 21.45 - Friday 02.00. Friday 22.05 - Saturday 02.00. If my time calculations are right this covers the Pairs and the Women’s free programmes live, 🤞.
The guide only goes up to Friday so hopefully there will be coverage of the Dance and the Men next Saturday/Sunday.

A third programme has been added to my series link. Saturday 19.00 - Sunday 02.00. So covering both remaining finals I assume.

Just started to watch the pairs free and have to ask… WHERE IS ROBIN? I don’t know who is commentating but I can barely make out what he says as he swallows his words. A bit like those dreadful swimming commentators. He burbles on and then we get some American or Canadian woman who gives a bit more of the technical detail. They are awful!
I was surprised to see a British pair, choreographed by Christopher Dean, but not very exciting. In fact it is very flat so far.
I have tried to Google who the commentators are, and where Robin is, but can find no information.

Well I haven’t finished yet, but this is one of the worst pairs competitions I have ever seen. Even if the remaining few are brilliant (I doubt it) there will have been no strength in depth. Normally we see a few who really catch the eye and skate beautifully in the middle section. That along with the crap commentary has been most disappointing. I wonder if the couples are just worn out at the end of the season.

Loved the first couple, dancing to Fleetwood Mac!
But you're right about the commentary, it's bloody awful.

The British couple are fairly new, yes? She is pretty good but he is still a little awkward, especially in the lifts. But I think the potential is there

I think a lot of the reason it feels flat is the music. Most of it is wispy woo and that gets boring.

There was one point where a couple made an error, and the guy just shouted NO NO NO! I couldn’t believe he could be that unprofessional with the music and dance still continuing of course. And that woman shouting, WOW WOW WOW half the time. I mean, bloody hell, did no one tell them what the BBC skating audience is used to? Some of the music was also quite quiet in the mix, but I didn’t turn the sound up in case that idiot started up.

Can't think of any other American skater called Tonya.
