Watching the Ladies and I feel sorry for the Swedish girl. She did an absolutely cracking routine and it would have gone down a storm if there was a crowd in. Such a shame that the first time she is in a major comp in her own country and it's this year.

Ok, so... I get that doing 5 quads is a huge deal. I understand that but... that's all Trusova has IMO. She has no connection to the music, no feeling for the dance, hardly any transitions.... it's not fun to watch. She's basically just a jump machine.
It's just a shame to me that she gets massive technical points without being as good a performer as some of those below her.

And if you compare her to the Japanese girl doing the Matrix, you will see exactly what I mean. The jumps are perfectly in time with the music to great effect and the transitions are full of character and feeling. Really enjoyed that one.

Do they still do the other tests beforehand or where these scrapped years ago. You know when the judges sat and watched them do edge to edge circles or spins with no music.
Perhaps there will be a break away situation, similar to when tumbling became an Olympic event on its own rather than as part of the floor competition.
