BBC1 - 10.35PM - 30th October. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0009vkyIt’s Halloween and Lee and Lucy take the children out trick or treating. Lee accidentally drops his phone in the porch of a spooky Victorian house and makes the mistake of going back to retrieve it. Once there, he discovers that the house is full of secrets that would be far better left undisturbed.

It was a nicely written episode with lots of the usual calamities. I love Bobby Ball in this - he gets all the best lines - although the elderly lady did well with "take that you f*cking little *count". (*he was dressed as Dracula)

Just watched this and as usual it made me chuckle. Lee Mack has the writing skill to make something funny without being nasty, or overly rude. Long may this daft half hour continue.

Enjoying this well written comedy but it is sad to see the late Bobby Ball. His scene stealing antics as Lee's father were always a joy.
I wonder if they will go down the Fools & Horses route and introduce an 'Uncle Albert' to keep the character balance? Bobby was not in every episode but his presence was always a joy when he was. His sparring with Lucy's uptight father was wonderful.
It will be interesting to see how they proceed as I feel this show has many more years ahead of it.
(Can you imagine Lee when his children start dating?)

Wonderful final episode with some great lines for Bobby Ball in his last appearance.
And a nice tribute after the closing credits.

It was a lovely tribute, normally you just get a name and a date but this was lovely.

The 2021 Christmas show is excellent. A panto theme, Jason Donovan starring and a nice mention of the late Bobby Ball at the start which leads to a good joke.

Great start to the new series. Nice that Bobby Ball is still mentioned in the show - and the painting(s) were classic.
