Broadchurch

I thought more should have been made of the fact that nothing the woman had done in the days leading up to the rape had any connection to the reason she was raped and how futile it was trying to connect her life to the reason e.g. no matter how many men she had had sex with in the days leading up to it or how she lived her life before that. It was opportunistic and as opportunistic as having your bag snatched on the Tube. It did show that rape is not about sex or sexual gratification in that sense. There are those who think a young emotionally vulnerable young person would refuse to be involved in such a thing, but people are coerced into all sorts of activities at the behest of others and it does happen and had credence.

I enjoyed it overall and found it thought provoking.
