When I saw the second series listed in the TV schedule for next week, I couldn't remember whether I'd watched the first series and pondered whether to follow the new series or not. Reading this thread has reminded me that I did, even if I can't remember much (apart from her not telling her superiors about her involvement with a chief suspect) - it was the comments here about the knee trembler that brought it all back!

Good start. Must say I didnt expect Stephen Tompkinson to be blown away in the first 5 minutes. The actress who plays his wife is very familiar.

I enjoyed the opener. I see the whole of S2 is up as a box set now - do I like it enough to subject myself to the ITV player?...
Was there some reason why Stephen was uselessly incompetent at lighting the barbecue, and had to be bailed out by Bill? Perhaps just mirroring the situation at their law firm.

I enjoyed it too. And yes GM, I think you are right about the BBQ lighting.

An enjoyable first episode. We didn't see a lot of the murder victim but I reckon he we will see more of him in flashbacks

That exactly reflects my own experience in watching this. I still don't remember the plot of the first series or how it ended, though it appears Lisa got caught as she's been demoted and is now reporting to Med who has leapfrogged her. In this first episode she came across as likeable, so has she learned her lesson or is this an act, I wonder? I'm certainly intrigued enough to keep watching.

We've just had Traces which largely revolves around a police investigation. Line of Duty has been delayed because of lockdown last year, but hopefully it won't be too long in making its way to our screens!
