I'm giving it a bit of time to see how the characters develop, but I'm not minding it.

Enjoyed it even though the plot was a bit silly. Local family missing - surely the chap who lent his car would have been in touch with the police?
My first thoughts were that the house had a panic room and they had been doing a 'drill' and all got locked in.
My 2nd thought was witness protection - and the man in hospital being a nasty character from their past.
LOL at the tea and cake scene!
Scenery is gorgeous and the love life of Margo and 'Marvellous' will hopefully continue.l

Have I ever seen Jeremy Bamber in anything where he plays a 'nice' character?

Have I ever seen Jeremy Bamber in anything where he plays a 'nice' character? Well, he was the White House Farm murderer so it was likely he'd get typecast. LOL. You mean Jamie Bamber. He was Apollo in BSG. All round nice guy in a space suit.

I just thought that local radio/TV would be appealing for anyone who had seen the family recently to come forward.

In fact when some friends had neighbours who did a midnight flit I was adamant it was that, to much derision! Nice to see Captain Adama again.

BTW I didn’t think it at all charming when Humphrey came home with a clapped out houseboat having used all their money and with no consultation. He would have been on it on his own were he my fiancé. In fact I’m finding it hard to find his quirks endearing in this series.

Yes, that was a step too far.

I didn't find him endearing in DiP so don't really mind them now.

Captain Adama! That's who it was! I knew he looked familiar. Just a lot older

My friends husband bought a boat without consulting her. Not a house boat, but nonetheless he knew NOTHING about them.
They had it for several years though and enjoyed puttering along the canals nearby.
Needless to say SHE was always the one who had to 'come ashore' to work the locks.
