No idea who will win this, they have disasters. Even Asmaa, as she's not very good at the creative bit. Her plastic bikini and bolero was awful. Mind you Tony's tunic was too. I think he edged because of the hood.

I thought the smoking jackets all looked rather poorly made. None of them seemed to sit well on the models and none of them said Noel Coward, Daniel Craig or Harry Styles to me. I’m surprised Lauren elected not to line hers because aren’t they supposed to ooze elegance and luxury? When she didn’t even manage to bind the seams, well, it looked awful. And what about not having a pocket? Where would the wearer keep his fags and lighter??😂

I had a feeling that result might happen. Me too. It was inevitable from the start to be honest. I loved the fabric and the colour of Asmaa's trenchcoat and as for her boiler suit.... well what can you say? It was totally stunning. If she makes things like that for her 19 year old daughter she is one very lucky girl! Surely only a monumental catastrophe can come between her and the trophy? I think, way back on this thread, I said that this year's sewers weren't as good as those in previous series. I take it back, I eat my words because I think Asmaa is one of the best ever! |

I am lost for words. Tony a finalist! I thought his boiler suit was hideous, just hideous. Still Vicky made that orange disaster and her Mac was wrong, but he should have gone weeks ago. If necessary they should have done a double elimination!!! Vicky clearly has a thing about pockets! None in the smoking jacket, one in the boiler suit…. Or were there side pockets as well?

Tony doesn't stand a chance against the other two. He has had so much luck over the weeks, always managing to do just enough to scrape through as much better,more exciting sewers have fallen by the wayside. To be fair to him though, I think he has improved a bit over the series.

The thing is though, Vicki had problems fitting her models back in several weeks. She never seemed to fit the length correctly.

Has Vicky been sewing very long? To my amazement Mia said she started in lockdown, and she is very good, and I think Tony is much the same. I don’t think they always have the experience necessarily to make a properly finished item. But I don’t think the show wants people who can really sew but have no flair.

Yes there's a balance between skill and creativity
Asmaa has tons of skill but lacks creativity compared to Mia. Tony has improved so much or perhaps just got into his flow.
I think it's Asmaa's to lose.
