I’ll save the last one for next week, but I’m loving watching the team fit everything together, as always. I’m really glad that aspect of the programme hasn’t changed. I hope we get more Unforgotten

I'm going to watch it again and make notes! Just finished watching it again and I'm still none the wiser! I still can't work out who is father to whom!

I still can't work out who is father to whom! {SPOILER:Click to Show} Lord Hulme is Ebele's father. Grandfather to Precious, great grandfather to Joseph and Jay. Josephs father was the cult leader, Bell and Jay's father was the traveller, Royce.

I just watched this week's again and it was Derek Griffiths! I knew he looked familiar!
Anyway, the subtitles made it make sense cos all through the series he was written as J. Until the interview where it was 'not J for Joe, J for Jay'.

I had the two brothers’ fathers right but I am constantly confused as to who is Lord Hume’s daughter! So it’s Ebele and not Precious? Who ran into the Bank years ago and started making a scene about Hume then, ending up with a criminal record? Was that Ebele or Precious? I think so much time has been given to the relationship between Sunny and Misery that we are skimping on the storytelling!

I agree Marion, Jessie's rocky settling in period has taken up time that is usually given to plot strand development, but without cutting back on the number of characters or the complexity of the individual stories, so it is difficult to follow.

It was Ebele that ran into the bank.

Well, tin hat on, but I didn’t like the ending… sorry! It was fine dramatically but they perverted the course of justice after all. I don’t know why on earth he admitted murder. Well I do of course understand from the plot but it seemed rather incongruous to me that he would do that. And why did he when no one had told him that a witness had said he did it, unless I zoned out and missed that bit. Also, what happened about Ebele’s battered husband. He was a victim of domestic abuse so is that just OK? I was left feeling quite ambivalent about it all.

I was happy with the ending after taking all things into consideration, but I do feel worried about Ebele's battered husband. Yes.

I think he admitted it out of guilt and a need for redemption. He was pretty close to dying of cancer and got arrested on his way to Dignitas. Maybe his way of making it up to the whole family.
