Well that was a surprise, although I was totally over the plot. I thought we were getting a more diverse cast there, but have also seen that the woman who played Archie in Casualty is about to join the cast.

The new boy was clearly too good an actor. He had to go!!! (And that sounds like the plot for an episode of Silent Witness )

I haven’t watched part 2 of the finale but overall have enjoyed this series. I like the new woman, except for her deciding within a few days of joining to stick her nose in the love lives of her colleagues. I’d have told her where to go! And as for Nikki with that student in her Halloween costume, goodness me! And I don’t like him either, I reckon he’s the type to blackmail her for a good grade. Or he may be lovely, as I said I haven’t watched it all.
I have just read on digispy that Amanda Burton is to reprise her role for the 25th Anniversary. I didn’t read on in case it revealed how this series ended.

I just thought. The whole of SE England is under water and no one can get anywhere at all…. Except for the London cab ferrying Nikki. I thought the Army had provided her with some kind of armoured vehicle. The size of that flight of stairs in the care home was enormous!!!!! No sign of any safety rails, just a banister, and no obvious lift. No wonder some of them had to stay in the lodge.

This show never fails to raise a laugh, more than can be said for some BBC comedies!
After Nikki tramped for hours through fields to get to the home she simply called a taxi to come and take Jack to hospital.
Will the next series jump the shark like Not Going Out? Jack and Nikki married with 2 kids and Greg Davies cast as the official Lyell Centre crime scene cleaner.

I gave up on it about 20 series ago - but maybe I should start watching it again for laughs?

It did that a long time ago, surely! Like GM, I gave up years ago, when the team started doing the job of the police. I don't even know who the cast are now apart from Nikki.
You can safely read the DS article, Marion – no reference to content of this series. Amanda Burton is going to be in several episodes of the next series, so not just a cameo role. I might have a look.

I think I have lost the plot for this series. I’m not sure what was happening last night. (Was scrolling through my iPad and missed something crucial) Will tune into the series finale tonight but I think it’s been a waste of good actors. Shame, it used to be good.

It seems to me that using a lorry to run into a car is a very uncertain means of murder. As indeed it proved to be.
I didn’t think a lot of any of this series and hope they get back on track for the next - or has it just permanently run out of steam? I did quite like Simone and I’m sorry she seems to have been sent on her way.

I liked Simone. I wonder if the actress doesn’t like being pigeon holed as she didn’t stay in Casualty for very long either.

Oh well, I suppose it's good to see the BBC is still moving onwards with its comedy output since the 'Ghosts' team decided to call it a day!
